After sharing with you our backyard tragedy last week, I wanted to reassure my six readers that we do have a lot of good going on in the GRITS backyard. We do. Really.
Over the last few days I have been taking photos of the abounding goodness in nature that occurs within the confines of our backyard. So all comments about the squirrel killing fields will soon be dispelled. I hope.
And perhaps people will stop calling me “baby squirrel killer”. Maybe I’ll get a new name. Something like “Nature’s Nurturer”. Yea, I like the sound of that.
Colossians 1:16-17
For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

Good for you- I guess my weeds don't count as true beauty!
Great pics...Love the squirrel!! Way to go Nature's Nurturer!
Very very pretty impatients! I don't have enough shade or patients for my impatients. Oh and I did not know that you knew the gecko from the Geico commercials. :)
I made the mistake of planting petunias instead of impatiens in the shade this year. Didn't work! Yours are lovely.
oh man, lovin those pretty, healthy, magnolia leaves!
Beautiful pictures! Do you think that is the mommy squirrel?
Your flora and fauna is very pretty. Are the two squirrels pictured the parents of the squirrels that perished in your backyard wonderland of nature?
