Meet and Greet

NOTICE: I have added this post to this week's edition of Works for Me Wednesday...the backwards edition. Where the writers present a problem, and you, the reader, offer us possible solutions to our problem.

And since our gracious host, Kristen, dared me to post it....I felt obliged.

Remember this great from Sesame Street:

Who are the people in your neighborhood, in your neighborhood, in your neigh-bor-hood

OH, who are the people in your neighborhood, the people that you meet each day…..

Today I want you to meet a special person in my neighborhood. Meet, Larry…. whose real name is unknown.

P3300002

Wait, what?

You don’t see a person? Just the tail lights of a car?

How could that be??

Oh wait, here’s a better view of Larry:

P3300003

Drats, that darn post got in the way!

Huh?

You are wondering why the dog is next to the car???

Oh yea, that!

Meet LAZY Larry…. dog walker extraordinare.

He has a fine knack for taking his Husky dog for a “walk” while holding the leash OUT THE CAR WINDOW as he drives the 1/2 mile circle of our neighborhood.

Somebody get the Humane Society on the phone! What would Caesar Milan have to say about this???

It was about 60 degrees with BEAUTIFUL sunshine when I spotted Lazy Larry driving in front of my house today. What’s the big deal, you asked??

Well, Lazy Larry also has another special talent that has some neighbors and our mailman in an uproar:

Yep! Laziness at its finest internets.

Do you think Lazy Larry carries a “pooper scooper bag”. NOOOOooooooo, never. He just leaves is wherever it falls, so to speak. In the middle of the road today, but usually on the side of the road where our mailman has to deal with it as he delivers. Peee-eeewwww.

Lazy Larry, you are RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!

The vindictive little person inside of me wants to collect the goods and place them IN his mailbox. But the mailman happens to be a good friend of mine.

I do know for a fact this mess has been discussed with Larry by both a neighbor and the mailman. However, he continues to be LAZY.

All I know is I am SICK of this crap….literally.

What would you do about his situation in your neighborhood??

I HAVE NEVER...!!!
And I showed my husband and he about fell off the couch laughing. In all seriousness though, that is so gross and unfair and lazy. Lazy Larry needs a smackdown. How disgusting!

If you have an Home Owners association I would defianlty share these incriminating photos..and you'd have the cat in the bag..or crap in the bag..really.

Great post and detective work!

If that's not a call for a passive aggressive mailbox letter, I don't know what is!

Holy CRAP! Some people's kids...

That is SERIOUSLY the funniest thing ever. And I thought my neighbors were rude!

Maybe you can call the police...is there some sort of ordinance in your area concerning dog waste?

I DARE you to share this on WFMW!!

First, I would post the story and pictures on my blog (check).

Then I would mail said story and pictures to my local TV affiliate.

Then I would send them all to Jay Leno or Oprah or Dr. Phil or SOMEBODY.

Because this is both the funniest thing ever and repulsive.

Oh MY GOSH. Seriously, this guy is so darn lazy her DRIVES his dog around to do his business in the road? Is he really incapable of walking at ALL? This is really hilarious, but disturbing. Do you know where he lives?? I'd package up his little presents and deliver them to his driveway.

That is beyond words. Can you call the cops or turn him in for endangering an animal? That really doesn't look particularly safe.

RUDE is right.

If you don't have a homeowner's association, I would address this as a safety issue for the dog. (They will take you more seriously and act.) Call the local animal shelter or animal control. Make sure you have the license number. Emphasize your concern for the dog- not what he is leaving in the road. If this doesn't work, call the police. Hopefully, one of these will help you and solve the problem.

That takes lazy to a new level. I would probably scoop a few days worth of poop and leave it on his front step.

But I like the other commenter's idea about local news or Dr. Phil.

Is it possible that Lazy Larry is also known as Limping Larry or Lymphoma Larry? Maybe the guy is too sick to walk his dog.

That being said, it isn't safe for the dog and it isn't good for the neighborhood to have dog poop in the street. Something needs to change and the big question, since it is your neighborhood, it how can you help the correct change happen?

Have you tried to catch him and ask him what's up? Maybe he needs help rather than condemnation...

If it is true that what he needs is a slap upside the head, then who better than you do to it?

photos + license plate + (send to local TV) or (send to local police) = problem solved!

Have to say I have never seen such laziness actually documented before.... it would make great local news or at least a "news of the weird" story somewhere!

Okay, I just thought my husband was lazy!! That is pathetic!!
