SFMtY—Sixteen Candles

Things I loved during the 1980’s:

*Add-a-bead necklaces

*Izod shirts

*Pink and Green

*Tretorn tennis shoes

*Levi’s Jeans

*My Penny-Farthing belt buckles with interchangeable leather bands to match my every preppy outfit

*Olan Mills photos (complete with realistic backdrops)

*Dressing like your twin sister for the perfect photo

In case you don’t believe me about my belt buckle:

OMG, I so had that shirt!!! And I believe the belt too. We were poor for a while and my Mom sewed little aligators on some polo shirts to make it an Izod! She denies it, but I can remember!

I forgot about Tretorn shoes. I loved my pink ones. And Olan Mills... are they still in business? Looking good.

Ahhh the IZOD shirts. And the belt...yep, loved those belts. Did you wear your IZOD with GLoria Vanderbilt jeans with the different colored threads? My daughter is laughing and asking, "Y'all had Lacoste way back then??" This was a fun post.
