Inauguration Day

Today will go down in the history books.

Barack Obama will become the 44th President of the United States.  The first African-American US President.

Whether you voted for him or not is now irrelevant.

The Bible instructs us, as Christians to pray for our leaders:

Pray for rulers and for all who have authority so that we can have quiet and peaceful lives full of worship and respect for God.

1 Timothy 2:2

Max Lucado, the author, has organized the website “Pray for President-elect Barack Obama”.   Over 201,000 have committed to pray for Obama and the leaders of our nation.  He has even included a downloadable prayer guide.

Please join with me and pray for our new President, his family and those that will be leading our country over the next 4 years!
