‘Fro Me to You—The “S” Word

My how time flies in the blog world! Can you believe it’s time again for Kristen’s Sincerely ‘Fro Me to You blog carnival??

image

I think it’s only appropriate to share these photos with you this week.

I know a lot of my bloggy peeps are currently bound by the death grip of Old Man Winter. Snow, ice and freezing temperatures.

This Southern girl types that with SLIGHT jealousy in her heart. Because we rarely have a winter event in these here parts. And we like to experience just a bit of it every now and again.

I am not holding my breath, but the “S” word has been uttered as a POSSIBILITY in the 5 day forecast.

We’ve got a saying around these parts when it comes to the “S” word. It goes something like this: “I won’t believe it until I see it!"

Take a look at my kids this time last year on a COLD Saturday morning here in God’s country:

Just cold enough for the white stuff to fall from the sky, but not cold enough to change out of pajamas!

So excited we had to call grandparents and let them know!

And one of us couldn’t keep our mouth closed!

Here’s to hoping that we at least get a chance to update our GRITS snow pictures for 2009.

For more ‘Fro Me to You fun, click here to head on over to We Are THAT Family where you will find more than enough photos that have never graced the pages of any scrapbook!

Oh, I hope you get some! We got flurries in December which is huge for my part of Texas. My kids are like, "remember when it snowed" They wanted to build a snowman!

Good luck with the snow. We got barely enough to scrape together a mini snowman yesterday. Then we got rain and ice today. Happy Winter!

So sweet. They are adorable and I wish them all the snow they want! We were thrilled to get ours because last years was not really anything to post about. :)

Since you like the snow, I really hope you get some. Me? Not so much. I was born and raised in Alaska, I'm so over the snow!!!

We got snow last week and it was really bizarre...it snowed all day long. 8AM till 3PM and none of it stuck to anything but the deck. I let me kids stay home to play in it anyway since we probably won't see it again for a few years.

Hope you get enough for a few good snowballs!

We are jealous too. Hey I just saw on the news there is a chance for it on Monday afternoon. Let us pray....

Your poor kids. We're up to our knees in snow - really. Where I grew up, it snowed maybe 4 times in my entire life, so I remember the thrill when it did snow.

I hope you get some snow! I feel if it has to be cold there should be snow!

as we are located more south than you, my children have never even seen snow.

We keep trying to plan a vaca to change that.......but something (finances) keep getting in the way.

A few weeks ago my kids heard the weather man say it would be cold enough to snow. They got super excited until I had to clarify that it wouldn't snow, the temp was just at the freezing point. Talk about let down.

I;m hoping for flurries for your kids sake!

We just had ice here...the kids were so disappointed that I let them take some polyfill from my craft stash and pretend to make a snowman. Not quite the same, but better than nothing. Cute pics!

Oh that is too funny. If I could I would send you some of ours (we got 0 inches yesterday alone). Hoping it goes your way.

I wouldn't mind sharing some of our snow. I would send some your way, but it would probably melt before getting to you.

Love the trying to catch snow with the tongue pictures. My girls do that too, but there is usually a lot more snow falling from the sky!

We have had very little here in N Ireland this year - even less than usual.

Hope you get some soon :)

Isn't winter in Alabama sad? I know we are blessed not to have to deal with the BAD snowy weather but an occasional two to four inches? Is that too much to ask?

Your kids are adorable!!!

We were buried in snow this time last year. Made a snow family before the SuperBowl started. This year, the only snow on the ground is what the snow plows have piled into huge piles that won't melt for another 2 months.
